Does a Snorkel breath well or create too much restriction on air flow to the engine?

I have never installed one but could see how it could do both...I always kinda thought it would force air down the tube at speeds.

I don't see how it could improve air flow at all.  During restricted sections, the air flow could speed up at the loss of pressure, just as in any venturi.

If the overall size of the pipe is less than the existing piping, I think it could starve the FI for air.

I would certainly limit bends and would use same size or bigger tubing....I have never had any desire to drive my truck underwater so I would have no need for one...I have vehicles that operate on top of the water should the need arise.  :13:
