ARCHIVE: KOYO & TIMKEN WHEEL BEARING QUESTIONS
« on: June 17, 2011, 04:47:49 PM »
Hi guys,

How many of you have replaced the front wheel bearings, and what brand did you use.

I have these on offer, I know that the KOYO bearings 32007JR HI-CAP fit, but what about the TIMKEN 32008X??

Checkout the pictures below and let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Toyota guys swear by the Japanese metal. Not sure how well the French fare but it should be a lot better than China or Mexico.

Here\'s a good read over at mud:

From stock feroza is using all around koyo bearings, gearbox diffs wheels. Be careful first take off your wheel bearing and check them with the new ones if are exact the same. It happened once with mine and i had to change them with thicker bearings.

You need two from each
2x32007 JR
2x32008 JR-3

these are the bearings for vended disks, if you have non-vended disks these codes want work for you.

Here in Greece 4 koyo bearings costs about 45 euros if they ask you for more money (more than around 60$) are not the cheapest.

Thanks for the advice there heroicentaur,
Unfortunately I do not have vented disks, although I am looking in that direction in the near future.

To fit vended disks you will also need the stock feroza calipers that where used for vented disks. The result want worth the money, you will not notice any difference at all.

Bumping an old thread...does anyone know what bearings are needed for the non-vented discs? I ordered a kit off eBay for a "1989-1/1996 Feroza" but they were totally wrong.
