That Whine oh that whine
« on: April 15, 2008, 06:44:16 AM »

I live in OZ (not with toto in Kansas) Down Under in Caberra. My brother had a feroza and I remember he mentioned the whine from the muffler system. I have narrowed my chioce of Demons to two lovely beast within range. One is from a dealer with waranty etc, but I reckon the whine will send me Crazy with a capital K. The other Nice car is from a private seller (surprise surprise he lied to me) about the Km on the second hand engine.

Any way, I am looking at the whiner but want to know what to do about the whine of the exhaust. Any solutions.

OK OK for those that know this site better and have bigger eyes than eye. The answer was already supplied. Cheers. Just saw the answer today.

According to Leon, of Daihatsu Help, it is most likely caused by a hole in the baffle of your muffler.  Which gives you two options, replace the baffle inside the muffler, or replace the entire muffler.
