PRECAUTIONS

As regards water to be used as coming waxer. use soft' water -.wich does not contain salts 'oi minerals.

Never open the radiator cap when the cooling ware: is not.

WARNING:

= The inside oi the radiator is under a pressurized condition when the cooling water is hot. Therefore,

THERMOSTAT

The thezrrnostat is a wax type with +1 bypass valve; The thermostat helps the engme to warm up quickly hy aliowing the cooimg water :ca be recirculated Ihrough the cyiincier block and cylinder hc-:ad withc=utpasstr1g through the radiator. Fur1hermone. the rherrnosta: is equipped with a jiggie pin which performs me air bleeding whale the engine is stopped. Also. the jiggle pin allows the temperature Of the cooling water to rise quickly ciunng the _warrrnrsg-up period.

Check of coofam lever Check 10.392 lf the coolant level is between the LOW and FULL lines of the reserve iank. If tha coolant Ievel is near the low levee! or beiow the low ievel, add the coolant up to the level.

Check ol coohant quality There shouid not be any excessive deposits of rust or water scales around the 'radiator cap dr the radiator filler hola. Also, lhe coolant shoufcd be free of 011. Change the cooiant if it is excessively duty or me time due to change the-Gnolant has already arrived.

WARNING: - Never open the radiator cap when the engine is hot.

Change of engine coolant (1) Fiemove the radiator cap.

- Never open 1he radiator cap andlor me drain plug when the engine is still hm. Care must be exercised _ to avoid getting scalded,

(2) Place an adequate container beiow the radiator drain plug. Draimha coolant by ramovxng the drain ptug (3) Close the dram plug. Fili the syfslern rh water. (5) S1-an the engine. and stop II. (G) Repeat the steps (1) through (5) tum I0 three times. NOTE: » Replace the drain plug gasket wish a new one.
