According to the F300/F310 Owners manual the recommended tire sizes are 195R15, 225/70R15, 195/80R15 (for GCC).  However...

The largest tire size you can fit on a US Daihatsu Feroza / Daihatsu Rocky / Daihatsu Sportrak without modification should be 30" or 29.5", any bigger and they will rub on the fenders or the wheel housing.  This means the tire you want is 30"x9.50" R15 (Close to Metric 245/75R15).  If you cannot fit these on the truck without them rubbing, make sure your suspension is not worn out and that nothing is sagging.

What is the difference between Metric and English?

'Floatation' tires which are used for more off-roading are usually in English.  Metric tires are found more on-road.  But at the same time they aren't mutually exclusive.

How do I read tire sizes?

245/75R15 means 245mm is the nominal width of tire, 75% is the ratio of height to width (aspect ratio), R stands for "Radial" and 15" is the rim diameter code.

30"x9.50" R15 means 30" tall, 9.50" wide and built for a 15" rim.  The "R" stands for 'Radial'

How do you come up with 29.5"?

245/75R15

75% of 245mm (.75 x 245mm) = 183.75mm x 2 + 381mm (15") = 748.5mm (29.5") diameter

I hava a daihatsu rocky from 1986 with 2000 cm toyaota 3y engine. I cut a little from the body and i use 32 inch tyres mud terain malatesta cayman. Excelent offroad performance.
My problem is the power. Just 85 hp it is not enough. What kind of engine is good for replace?

heh, I have a 85 Rocky with 30-9.5R15 on and the tyre rubs on the leaf springs on full lock. does this mean my springs are sagging...i want to replace them soon or get them retensioned through a spring works shop...do you think this is the cause..

Before increasing your wheel diameter too much consider the effect you are having on your gearing - particularly low range.
If you have 31 inch wheels then you are changing ratios by around 10% and that changes you off road performance significantly.

You speedo will also be out by the % wheel change, which can be a risk to your hip pocket....

The EFI system also picks up a speed signal which will now be wrong - however it is unclear if it has any effect on performance, it may only be used by the ECU for engine overrun management in which case there's no problem.

If anyone actually knows - I would appreciate feedback.
