My Daihatsu Feroza / Daihatsu Rocky / Daihatsu Sportrak seems to be losing power, what can I do to remedy this?  There are several things you can do to get your truck back into top performance.

You'll want to perform these in the following order:

  • Check air filter
  • Replace spark plugs
  • Replace spark plug wires
  • Check ignition timing
  • Check valve clearances
  • Check compression
  • Carbon flush
  • Check EGR system for carbon build-up
  • Check catylitic converter and muffler

You can also improve the performance of your truck by making a few modifications:

  • Replace air intake canister and air filter with a K&N or MRT Ram Pod air filter
  • Replace exhaust system with headers and 2" exhaust system including a high flow muffler
  • Replace the camshaft with a reground one
  • After all these mods are done, replace the ECU with a programmable one and program for optimum performance
